Today I discovered a multimedia color field painting in the stacks. Clearly an homage to Kenneth Noland’s circle paintings, this previously undiscovered work is also clearly influenced by minimalist fascination with industrial processes and the exploration of data patterns found in conceptual art. It is signed “Dickson” and dated 2008. -jt
